Responsibilities for Barista

– Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, fresh juice and menu items
– Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
– Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop and kitchen area
– Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in food preparation and handling
– Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or pastries
– Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed

Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
– Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and retail transactions
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
