We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to our specifications, set up stations for service and assist the Chef and other kitchen staff with all their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities:
– Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
– Prep food for service including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking appetizers, main dishes & desserts
– Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff
– Plate prepared foods based on chef’s guidance
– Ensure that orders are completed according to request, simultaneously and on time
– Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and store the equipment appropriately at the end of shifts
– Comply with the kitchen operation & hygiene procedures in the respect of food safety standards and regulations
– Stock inventory appropriately
– Answer, report and follow all operational instructions
Skills:
– Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
– Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
– Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Familiar with industry’s best practices
