BUSSER AND RUNNER (San Diego)

Et Voila! is a neighborhood bistro, led by Vincent Viale. Et Voila!’s kitchen prides itself in making everything in-house and from scratch, using organic providers and local farmers. An important value to our kitchen is ensuring that every dish that comes out of our kitchen is significant.-Busser:
As a back waiter/busser, you are an important part of the team. You will be responsible for ensuring that guests are equipped with everything they need in order to enjoy their meal. You also will be responsible for ensuring that their meal is completed at a steady pace, clearing dishes when all guests have completed their plates. You must know how to make coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte…). We are looking for team members that understand the rules of service. We are looking for fast, organized and motivated individuals, that have a sense of priority and great attention to detail.

One year experience in fine dining restaurant required. This is NOT a position for someone with no experience.

-Runner:
Runners will be responsible for expediting, and act as the main link between the kitchen and the front of the house. You must have excellent communication skills and work quickly while maintaining attention to detail. You must be able to learn and clearly explain every item of the menu to the guests. We are looking for team members that understand the rules of service. We are looking for fast, organized and motivated individuals, that have a sense of priority and great attention to detail.

One year experience in fine dining restaurant required. This is NOT as position for someone with no experience.

Members of Et Voila!’s front-of-house team are punctual with clean uniforms, and pay attention to every detail in the restaurant and when interacting with guests. The front-of-house seeks to learn about French techniques and cuisine in order to be able to properly communicate them to guests. Furthermore, the front-of-house team communicates seamlessly with the kitchen to ensure that each dish reaches the guest in a timely manner and with the highest quality.
